How it works
Pregnancy is counted from the first day of the last period, and the due date falls 280 days (40 weeks) later. If your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days, we move the date by the difference.

Questions
- How accurate is a due date?
- It is an estimate. An ultrasound in the first trimester dates a pregnancy most accurately, and your clinician may adjust the date after one.
- Why count from my last period and not from conception?
- Few people know the day they conceived, but most know when their last period started. That is why clinicians count from it too.
- Is anything I type saved?
